MOZART Violin Concerto No. 5, ‘Turkish’
MAHLER Symphony No. 5

Trinity Orchestra
Conductor: Michael Murray
Leader: Marina Solarek
Violin soloist: Cellerina Park

We’re delighted to welcome back former Music Director and good friend of the orchestra, Michael Murray, to conduct two contrasting masterpieces in a programme of classical brilliance and symphonic grandeur.

Mozart’s enchanting Violin Concerto No. 5, known as the “Turkish” for its exotic flair, will be performed by the exciting and virtuosic soloist Cellerina Park, who is sub-leader of the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

Also on the programme is Mahler’s mighty Symphony No. 5, with its profound depths of emotion and its journey from tragedy to triumph. The famous Adagietto is a piece so evocative that it has transcended the concert hall, becoming a favourite in film, television, advertising, and even figure skating. Its timeless beauty makes it one of Mahler’s most recognised and beloved works.

Join Michael Murray for a free pre-concert talk at 7pm
