Three Choirs Concert
at Watford Colosseum, Rickmansworth Road, Watford WD17 3JN
We’re thrilled to be joining our friends at Harrow Choral Society, Harrow Philharmonic Choir and Stanmore Choral Society for this very special concert.
Verdi’s Requiem is widely enjoyed by audiences and performers alike, universally acknowledged as a masterpiece of the choral repertoire – some consider it the pinnacle of achievement of choral composition.
The work will be performed as part of a 30-year tradition among three of Harrow’s premier choirs, each of which enjoys a reputation for the high quality of their performances. Accompanied by Trinity Orchestra, the ensemble features some 200 voices, enabling the Verdi Requiem to be performed in the style, and to the standard, that the composer intended.
The Conductor will be Simon Williams who is Music Director of Harrow Choral Society and of the choir of St George’s Hanover Square.
The four soloists for the evening are of exceptional quality. In 2017, Anush Hovhannisyan (Soprano) represented her country in Cardiff Singer of the World and was a finalist in the 2018 International Opera Awards. Canadian born Trevor Bowes (bass) is internationally acclaimed not just for his voice but for his musical interpretation and delivery. Alexander James Edwardsis one of the UK’s best-loved tenors and It is no exaggeration to say that Mezzo Soprano Sarah Pring is in constant international demand.
